In accordance with the Ministry of Education’s “教育部辦理重點產業領域擴大招收僑生港澳學生及外國學生實施計畫作業要點,” Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) plans to establish the International Foundation Program in 2026. The program aims to cultivate outstanding international talents for Taiwan’s key industries.
  The program adopts a “1+4” curriculum structure. The first year focuses on Chinese language preparation, with the core objective of improving students’ Chinese proficiency while promoting holistic education. Upon completion of the preparatory program, students must achieve at least TOCFL A2 level in listening and reading before progressing to their admitted undergraduate degree programs.
  Currently, the International Foundation Program offers the following academic departments in three major industry fields:

• Department of Landscape Architecture

  CYCU also provides the“Four Mentors for One Student”support system, including academic advisors, military instructors, career mentors, and self-selected academic mentors. Combined with the University Social Responsibility (USR) program and Taiwanese cultural experience activities, the university offers comprehensive support for students in daily life adjustment, academic development, and career planning.
